ALB-GOLD herbal garden

More than 1,000 different herb and plant species await the visitor at the two hectare grounds. The topics range from kitchen condiments to tea and medicinal herbs. Other areas to experience in the customer centre are glass production, the "Sonne" (sun) noodle restaurant and the cooking studio.

Hohensteiner Hofkäserei cheese farm

Situated on the Alb plateau near Oedenwaldstetten, the Hohensteiner Hofkäserei cheese farm is located in a fascinating landscape. Original Alb cheese is produced here using traditional methods and in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the organic farmers' association Bioland. A visit to the cheese farm and farm shop can be combined with excursions to the sights nearby.

Kirschenweg (cherry path) in Dettingen

"Taste and study" - on the approx. 2.3 km long Kirschenweg (cherry path) between the Dettingen Calverbühl and Glems a wide selection of cherry trees has been planted where you can taste more than 50 different kinds. Illustrated charts explain interesting facts about cherry growing. A barbecue area offers you a splendid view of the entire Erms Valley.
