Urach waterfall
In the middle of the beautiful Maisen Valley at the outskirts of Bad Urach you will find the Urach waterfall, probably the most beautiful waterfall in the Swabian Alb. The karst spring drops from a height of 37 m in free fall and then runs another 50 m over a steep, moss-covered cushion of limestone tufa into the valley.
The quickest way to the Urach waterfall is via the signposted car park in the Maisen Valley near the spa centre. From here follow the almost level footpath along the Brühlbach stream which winds its way beautifully through the valley.
Via a well constructed path of steps at the bottom of the fall you can climb further up to the high level meadow. There you will find the waterfall hut with regional products for some refreshment, open from April to mid-October.
